Pest Management in the Postharvest Agricultural Supply Chain Under Climate Change

چکیده

Climate change is a danger to the agricultural system and will impact availability of food feed world. While much attention has focused on effects climate pest management prior harvest, less time been devoted determining in postharvest supply chain from farm fork. may percolate at macro level through compositional changes which species attack commodities distributional or what are grown region (and thus processed that area). However, also result altered microclimates facilities, can be tied increased generation times, elevated damage contamination potential, greater abundance species, need for external inputs. A variety integrated (IPM) strategies help increase resiliency adaptation change. Tactics susceptible warming temperature showing decreased efficacy include semiochemical-based, behaviorally-based tactics, subset insecticides (e.g., pyrethrins pyrethroids), those rely low grain aeration, chilling). facilities resilience packaging, other groups insecticides, likely sanitation. Data gaps predicting changing distributions stored product insects under change, translating into microclimate rigorously investigating how IPM tactic varies climate. Increased scrutiny affect deliver improved outcomes entire system.

Investigating the organic agricultural products supply chain in Iran

The present study aimed to investigate the organic agricultural products supply chain in Iran and provide a processes maturity framework for this chain based on the Iranian Standard of the organic products. Accordingly, the model, proposed in this research, provides an improvement tool that addresses the integration of company's internal processes at low levels, and the integration of the proce...

Agricultural Drought Frequency, Duration analysis in Karoon 3 Watershed under climate change

The aim of this study is investigation of climate change impact on Karoon3 basin in future periods. For this purpose, the simulated precipitation and potential evapotranspirationof four AOGCM models was used to simulate drought index. Monthly precipitation was calculated by inverse distance weighted method. Reclamation Drought Index (RDI) was used as watershed drought index. RDI was calculated ...

Climate Change and Pest Management: Unanticipated Consequences of Trophic Dislocation

The growth of plants and insects occurs only above a minimum temperature threshold. In insects, the growth rate depends on the temperature above the threshold up to a maximum. In plants the growth rate above the threshold generally depends on the availability of sunlight. Thus, the relative growth rates of crops and insect phytophages are expected to differ between temperature regimes. We shoul...
